Caernarfon Castle, Wales

Caernarfon Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of Wales’ most iconic medieval fortresses. Originally a motte-and-bailey built by the Normans in the 11th century, it was transformed into a grand stone castle in 1283 under King Edward I.

Smithson Plaza, London

Smithson Plaza, originally designed by renowned architects Alison and Peter Smithson in 1964, remains a celebrated example of modernist architecture in the heart of London. In 2018, the site was thoughtfully reimagined and renamed to honour its creators, achieving Grade II Listed status to protect its architectural heritage.

Beatties, Wolverhampton

Beatties in Wolverhampton is a landmark building with over 140 years of history, having served the community as a beloved department store since 1877. Originally owned and operated by the Beatties family until 2005, it was later taken over by House of Fraser before closing its doors in 2020.

Bramley Manor, Cambridge

This Grade II listed, seven-bedroom residence in the Cambridge dates back to the late 16th century and offers a distinguished example of traditional English architecture.

Plenty House, Newbury spans over 100,000 sq ft, comprising 12 industrial warehouse units and office space.

Sycamore House and Beech House, Cardiff

Sycamore House and Beech House in Cardiff are two 10-storey residential towers, completed in 1963, each containing 95 flats. As part of a recladding project, a Measured Building Survey was undertaken delivering a detailed 3D Revit BIM model to support the planning process and design phase.

 

Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare, Eastbourne

The Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare is a renowned animal rescue and rehoming charity located near Eastbourne, made up of 9.5 acres of land and two large lakes. As part of their ongoing site management and development plans, a topographical and utility survey was undertaken delivering 2D Topographical and Utility Plans of the grounds.

Using advanced surveying technology, we delivered a detailed and accurate topographical survey captured the precise layout, terrain, and existing features, while the utility survey mapped the location of underground services. This comprehensive data equips Raystede with a reliable foundation for any future planning, design, or infrastructure work.

Surveying an active animal welfare site presented unique challenges, including the need to minimise disruption to staff, visitors, and animals. Our expert team worked efficiently and sensitively, ensuring the survey was carried out with the utmost care and precision.

Nelson & Loudoun House, Cardiff

Nelson and Loudoun House are two 16-storey residential towers located near Cardiff Bay and the City Centre. Completed between 1960 and 1966, they house 181 flats and boast impressive views of both the city and Cardiff Bay. As part of a recladding project, a Measured Building Survey was undertaken delivering a detailed 3D Revit BIM model to support the planning process and design phase.

Surveybase successfully delivered a comprehensive 3D Revit BIM model to the client, following the LOD4 specification for façades and LOD3 for internal modelling.

Surveying these buildings posed unique challenges, particularly due to their tall design. To overcome these obstacles, Surveybase used advanced surveying technology to ensure precise data collection with minimal disruption to residents.

Balliol College, Oxford

Balliol College, one of the oldest colleges at the University of Oxford, features an impressive dining hall built in 1877. As one of the larger college halls, it boasts a stunning vaulted ceiling, stained glass windows, and a magnificent pipe organ.

The Gouldings & Fairlie House, Uxbridge

The Gouldings and Farlie House are both nine-storey tower blocks built in 1970 and owned by Hillingdon London Borough Council and situated above The Pavilions shopping centre in Uxbridge, comprising of 144 residential apartments. As part of a recladding project, a Measured Building Survey was undertaken delivering a detailed 3D Revit BIM model and 2D Topographical plan, to support the planning process and design phase.

Surveybase successfully delivered a comprehensive 3D Revit BIM model to the client, following the LOD4 specification for façades and LOD3 for internal modelling. This also included the externals of Pavilion shopping centre, Car Park, and surrounding areas, along with a detailed 2D topographical plan.

St Mary the Virgin Church, Reading

The 3D BIM Survey of St Mary the Virgin Church, Reading.

St Mary the Virgin Church in Reading is a Grade II listed building with origins as a Saxon church. It was later simplified in a Calvinistic style, featuring a flat ceiling and a royal coat of arms. The church has six bells, with the most recently added bell requiring reinforcement of the tower due to its weight.

The church preserves a wealth of history, including stone monuments of local families and medieval brasses, such as that of a royal wine taster, highlighting its deep ties to royal patronage.
