Surveybase Limited have completed a measured building survey of the College of Arts Campus in Camberwell, London. The commission was secured following a competitive tender programme.
The site survey that extended over 5 floors took place in the week before Covid-19 lockdown. Careful management of the survey ensured the safety of our team, college employees and the students. We are grateful to the Estates Department for their cooperation and expertise.
The 3D Laser Scan survey progressed through the building from facades to basement and ultimately completing at roof level. The basement presented challenges including confined plant room spaces, however with PPE and experience we overcame all obstacles to deliver a comprehensive record of as built data.
Individual Laser Scan data was registered carefully to generate an accurate project point cloud ready for processing in 2D AutoCAD. Our brief included production of all floor plans, selected elevation plans and 2 long sections.
