Rutland Gate in Knightsbridge is one of London’s most prestigious residential locations with property prices exceeding £200 million. When leading London developer, Crestwood Property Management needed a precision digital survey they appointed Surveybase Limited.
Our Client is in the process of converting a 7 storey mansion previously used as commercial offices into luxurious residential dwellings. By the date of survey, the building had undergone a soft rip revealing the structural skeleton of this historic building.
The survey was undertaken using Faro Focus Laser Scanning instruments with control provided by Leica TS15 Total Station and GPS. The extensive site data of over 700 individual scan locations was registered using Faro Scene software. This process produces a single point cloud file ready for completion in AutoCAD.
The Surveybase CAD & BIM team developed the point cloud to generate floor plans of all levels, roof plan, elevations, and sections through the building. On completion the project was passed through our quality inspection process that ensure we meet stated tolerance and surpass service expectations. Detailing of the 18th century Italianate facades are of particular interest.
