The 2D Measured Building and 3D Revit (BIM) survey of Wyelands Estate, Wales.
Wyelands Estate is situated in the Welsh countryside and was originally designed in the late Regency period and completed around 1830.
This Grade II neoclassical villa maintains its historic charm even after the estate underwent significant renovations during the 1990s. The renovation included the addition of a indoor swimming pool complete with a glass roof, marking a modern enhancement to the estate.
Crafted from Bath stone, the villa spans two storeys and has Ionic columns at the main entrance. The whole estate spans 286 acres, including a 19th century stone summer house, and a contemporary lodge.
Through a pre-modelling BIM Meeting the specifics of the model were conveyed, ensuring the delivery of a fully functional Model for the client.
Surveybase undertook a Laser Scan survey of 3 buildings on the estate including the main House, the Top Lodge and Bottom Lodge.
The resulting point cloud was referenced to OS coordinates and processed to deliver 3D LOD4 BIM Models including the internals and electrics including sockets, switches and lighting. We also completed a Drone Survey of the Main House, as well as 2D elevations, sections and floor plans.
