Brighton Marina, the largest marina in the UK, spans an impressive 127 acres. Constructed between 1971 and 1979, it encompasses a working harbour, residential housing, and a lively array of leisure, retail, and commercial spaces.
The Boardwalk was developed in 2016 and hosts restaurants such as Five Guys, TGI Friday, Bella Italia, and more. The area has in total, 197 residential apartments and 7 commercial units. With views of the harbour, beach and sea, it is one of the most desirable waterfront addresses in Brighton.
Future plans for the area include expanding housing, with the Brighton Marina Residents Association representing the interests of local residents.
Surveybase were appointed to deliver a 3D BIM and Utilities Survey. This provided the client with an accurate 3D BIM Model delivered to our standard LOD4 facades and LOD3 internal modelling specification of communal spaces, and Utility Plan.
The Boardwalk presented unique challenges due to its location, height, and presence of residence. To overcome these, Surveybase deployed advanced surveying technology, including a drone, to ensure precise data collection with minimal disruption to day-to-day operations.
