Originally opened in 1847, Portsmouth & Southsea railway station now serves over 4 million passengers annually, connecting Portsmouth to major destinations across southern England.
Situated within a busy transport environment, the project required a carefully coordinated approach to accurately document the station while minimising disruption to daily activity. Careful planning, clear communication, and an efficient delivery model were essential to successfully complete the survey within a live station setting.
Surveybase were appointed to undertake a full 2D measured building survey for Portsmouth & Southsea railway station. The scope of works included the capture of detailed floor & roof plans, and elevations to support ongoing planning, refurbishment, and asset management requirements.
