The Scan to BIM survey of Fayrer House, part of Epsom College, London was commissioned by Frome based Architects NVB. NVB specialise in the Education sector and this was one of several similar surveys undertaken on their behalf. Fayrer House, a sprawling student accommodation building, is divided into individual apartments. This high density layout presents a significant surveying challenge. Laser Scanning is the perfect solution for compartmentalised buildings. Its efficient operation reduces site time compared to traditional methods. The model was built in Revit to our Level of Detail (LOD) 3 that includes external and internal architectural features.
