Alex is a Senior Surveyor currently covering Surveybase London and Croydon regions. Alex is regarded an expert in the field of 3D Laser Scanning. He has introduced enhanced workstreams to Surveybase. This includes deployment of world leading Leica RTC360 instruments and Leica’s powerful Cyclone registration software. Alex is rolling these procedures out across the company, a service that earned him his Senior title.

He continues to survey principle projects whilst mentoring is colleagues and new recruits.

Lead Surveyor (Cambridge)

Andy heads up our latest regional operation, Surveybase Cambridge. His wealth of expertise includes 3D Laser Scanning and Topographical Surveying. Andy is slowly building a solid Client base throughout the region that includes Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Essex and Suffolk.

Andy is an experienced and natural team leader with an ability to motivate his colleagues. A vital skill in measured survey operations, especially in winter and when working away from home.

Catherine Williams

Compliance Manager

Catherine is responsible for the company Health and Safety and Quality Management systems. Working closely with Directors, Managers and Consultants, she is responsible for the documentation needed to ensure best practice and continued improvement.

This busy role includes procedural audits, pre delivery quality inspections, management of non-conformance and the maintenance of industry accreditation and certification.

Catherine is currently preparing the business for the ISO 9001 Quality Management audit.

HR & Administration Director

Charmaine joined Surveybase following a career in corporate banking. Her expertise has helped build a strong organisation on a stable financial footing. Charmaine is responsible for administration including management accounts and finance. She plays a key role in the ongoing expansion of Surveybase having developed a clear investment plan that guides board level decisions.

Charmaine’s brief includes HR responsibilities for colleague welfare and skill development. She has been pivotal in nurturing a culture of care within a fast developing commercial environment.

Chris is lead Surveyor at Surveybase Reading. He joined Surveybase following the pandemic with 15 years service in similar practice. His experience is benefitting Client projects and Colleague development alike. He has a confident communication style welcomed by all who have pleasure to work with him.

Chris is an expert Topographical Surveyor who leads large open site land surveys.

David launched Surveybase in 1998 and has been firmly at the helm ever since. He exudes the leadership, passion and tenacity needed to run a successful business for over 25 years. His innate ability to spot and exploit market opportunities has been fundamental to the company’s development. He continues to back his entrepreneurial spirit with considerable investment in technology and people, a strategy that is delivering a tangible commercial advantage. He openly states that behind his success is an everlasting strive for excellent service, a genuine desire to delight customers and go the extra mile, something he demands from himself and the team.

Today David is responsible for Business Development & Marketing, strategically planning the future expansion of the company.

Emily joined Surveybase following a 10 year career in similar practice. She has recently replaced David as Estimator responsible for Commercial project enquiries.

Emily’s expertise includes Surveying and Technical processing, she has worked on many large, high profile developments. This wealth of knowledge benefits early stage consultation, helping develop survey solutions that are effective and efficient. Her many Clients welcome this expert level of support and advice, its making a tangible difference to their development projects and survey spend.

Emily spearheads our “Women In Construction” initiative. The campaign, launched by the TSA promotes careers for women in the AEC industry.

Harry graduated through the Surveybase Technical training programme. This 2-year introduction to the geomatics industry builds professional expertise in 2D and 3D survey data processing. Harry has since progressed to a Lead position in the technical team where he works on principal CAD and Revit (BIM) projects.

Jack joined Surveybase from a respected geomatics practice having graduated through their training programme. Jack has more than 10 years’ experience in Topographical Land Surveying. His expertise is vital to managing large survey projects and developing our growing team of trainees.  Jack’s calm nature is appreciated by clients and colleagues and fundamental to finding solutions to unforeseen site survey challenges.

Estimator

Jane joined Surveybase in 1998 and is the joint longest serving member of the team. Her career has spanned, Administration, Operations and Marketing. Today Jane is responsible for Estimations with a focus on Residential project enquiries.

Jane is the epitome of customer service, the day is not over until her last promise is met. She was the catalyst behind the 48 hour quotation service, a feature of Surveybase that is unrivalled in the survey industry. Jane believes that excellent service begins the moment the Client calls and then extends seamlessly throughout all stage of survey operations to delivery.

Jane has built a large portfolio of loyal Clients who seek out her considerable expertise and dynamic response.

Operations Manager

Jons previous career includes roles as Senior Surveyor and Lead Technician, skills that have proven vital for operational management.

Jons responsibilities include resource scheduling, project management, health and safety management and quality control. Jon gets involved following appointment and manages each survey through to completion. His natural approach to Client liaison builds trust and mutual respect, important factors for service success.

Jon views his busy role as being the Client within, representing their best interests and encouraging his team to deliver on our service promises.

Jordan directs service operations from initial enquiry to project delivery. He has developed operational procedures based on ISO 9001 that deliver on expectation and customer satisfaction. He believes firmly in continued improvement,  monitoring performance to improve accuracy and efficiency where opportunities exist.

He plays a critical role in recruitment and has steadily built a dynamic team of industry professionals at a management, surveyor and technician level. His consultative, considered approach delivers tangible benefits to Clients and their projects. Equally his natural support and encouragement of Colleagues provides the space to develop and motivation to achieve.

Kaitlyn joined Surveybase following a similar role within the Engineering sector. Her main objective is to build industry awareness of our brand and services.

Amongst her many duties Kaitlyn is responsible for brand development, digital marketing, SEO and advertising.  Kaitlyn was the driving force behind our recent expansion into Cambridge, doing the enormous marketing groundwork required to promote Surveybase throughout the region.

Luke joined Surveybase from a respected geomatics practice having graduated through their training programme. He achieved professional land surveyor status through the National Survey Association completing a 3-year course accredited by the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors. Luke is a 3D survey expert and certified drone pilot. His passion for the geomatics industry is obvious to all who meet him.

Technical Team Manager

As Senior BIM Technician, Martha provides project support to our team of Revit technicians. Her responsibilities include the progression of our Building Information Modelling (BIM) services in accordance with ISO 19650.

Martha’s multi-tasking duties include Client consultation, delivery of principle 3D models, optimising technical procedures, maintaining standards documentation, promoting and developing the 3D skills and practice throughout our technical team.

Senior Surveyor

Martin has led Surveybase Bristol since joining the company in 2012. He is a talented and diligent surveyor with an industrious, team working ethic. He is an expert 3D Laser Scan Surveyor with an ability to support traditional Topographical Surveys.

Martins excellent interpersonal skills make him a natural leader able to coach Trainee Surveyors. He is respected by his many Clients from whom he receives regular and much deserved recognition.

As Senior CAD Technician, Nick provides project support to our team of CAD technicians. His responsibilities include the progression of our 2D AutoCAD processing services developing new efficient methodology and automation. He is the proud author of our digital training manuals and video library.

Nick’s multi-tasking duties include Client consultation, delivery of principle 2D projects, optimising technical procedures, maintaining standards documentation, and developing the skills and practice of our technical team and trainees.

Measured Building Surveyor

Oliver has a unique role supporting the Surveyors with specialist geomatics technology.

Olivers expertise built initially through time in our technical team before progressing to 3D Laser Scan Surveyor. His comprehensive survey knowledge provides the insight and appreciation required to successfully fulfil his digital imaging role. Oliver is a certified UAV Drone pilot and Photogrammetry expert. He supports survey projects of all scale from roofscape surveying, to the digital imaging capture of historic and heritage sites.

Paul joined Surveybase in 2012 following a career in the store planning division of a major supermarket client.

Paul leads our retail surveying team who support national retailers on roll out and acquisition programmes throughout the UK and Ireland.  Pauls team provide traditional measured survey solutions delivering comprehensive as built plans with ambient display, refrigeration, merchandise, back of house and services layout. It’s a service Paul helped to develop for convenience and high street scale property.
