The site survey team recently gathered at our headquarters near Bath for the annual Surveybase Training Week, a dedicated programme focused on Health and Safety, professional development, technical training, and fostering stronger collaboration across the business. With survey teams located nationwide, the event provided a valuable opportunity to connect in person, share expertise, and engage in practical workshops designed to broaden skills across a wide range of surveying services.
Health and Safety First
Health and Safety remains a core priority. The week featured a dedicated Health and Safety training day, including emergency first aid and Asbestos Awareness sessions to ensure all surveyors are fully prepared for potential on-site risks. Practical exercises reinforced learning, serving as an annual refresher to maintain high standards and ensure best practices are consistently applied across all sites.
Investing in New Technology
The training coincided with significant investment in new surveying technology, including total stations, drones, and Matterport cameras. Surveyors participated in hands-on total station training delivered by Korec, received critical drone flight training through Coptrz, and completed comprehensive Matterport camera training.
This combination of equipment investment and targeted training ensures our survey teams can deliver the full range of services efficiently, regardless of site location, maintaining quality and consistency across every project.
