Surveybase is proud to have been awarded Contractor of the Year at the 2025 Bath Property Awards, in recognition of our contribution to the Bath property industry and the delivery of the 3D BIM Measured Building Survey at the Former Royal Mineral Water Hospital.
The award celebrates skilled contractors across all trades who bring property projects to life. Judges look for contractors who deliver consistent, high-quality, and reliable services, with demonstrable measures of success.
The judging panel, comprising leading professionals from across Bath’s property industry, highlighted Surveybase’s track record and commented:
“Surveybase’s precision 3D BIM work at The Min showcases cutting-edge heritage surveying and Bath-rooted excellence in geospatial surveying.”
Using advanced surveying technology, Surveybase delivered a 3D BIM building and site model for this historic building, successfully overcoming challenges associated with its listed status and architectural complexity. This Grade II listed landmark, constructed entirely from Bath stone, has stood at the heart of Bath since 1738. Its striking Georgian façade and historic significance make it a key feature of Bath’s UNESCO World Heritage cityscape. The 3D BIM survey was instrumental in securing full Planning and Listed Building Consents, while providing a reliable platform for ongoing design and restoration work.
Kevin Murphy, Managing Director at Aaron Evans Architects, comments:
“As a Bath-based practice, it was essential to collaborate with a local surveying company that truly understands the city’s unique architectural heritage. Surveybase’s expertise and meticulous approach provided the precise data necessary to secure full Planning and Listed Building Consents. Their survey has been vital in ensuring the project respects the building’s historic fabric while enabling its sensitive regeneration.”
Surveybase, nominated across four categories, was also recognised as Highly Commended in the Supplier and Services category.
Jordan King, Managing Director, adds:
“We’re incredibly proud to be awarded Contractor of the Year. Surveybase’s foundations were formed in Bath nearly 30 years ago, so the city is very close to our hearts. This award reflects the dedication of our teams and the exceptional surveys we deliver, including the Royal Mineral Water Hospital. It’s a proud day for everyone at Surveybase.”
Surveybase congratulates all winners and celebrates their achievements.Â
