Delivering precision at the heart of one of London’s most recognisable landmarks, this project focused on The Grand Buildings at Trafalgar Square, an iconic central London property framed by the world-famous Nelson’s Column and its prominent Union Jack flags.
This highly visible and architecturally significant building required a careful, considered approach to capture both its complexity and its prominence within the capital’s historic civic landscape.
Surveybase was appointed to deliver a coordinated surveying package comprising a detailed 2D measured building survey alongside a high-accuracy 3D BIM model of the upper roof structure. The focus on the roof level was critical in providing the client with a clear understanding of the building’s upper form, condition, and spatial geometry, supporting future planning and design decisions.
Working on a landmark of this scale and recognisability demands precision, discretion, and technical expertise.
