Following on from the Shepton Mallet Cider Mill story, we were separately asked to survey the local cemetery. Survey Base provided an Enhanced GPR Survey, as well as a Topographical Survey on the six acre site. Shepton Mallet cemetery dates back to as early as the 18th century but it wasn’t just the history that made this a stand out project. Due to the obscure nature of the task at hand, as well as the technology used, this was a unique story and project that stood out for us.
Survey Base have never been instructed to provide an Enhanced GPR Survey before, so this was a first for our technicians. This ‘Enhanched’ aspect provided our client with a more detailed GPR Survey compared to a standard one, this meant more measurements were taken in a smaller area to provide a greater level of detailing.
